N-word without a clue

Racism is a subject which we almost have to deal with or think about everyday of our lives. As this country becomes more multi-racial and increasingly culturally diverse it becomes inevitable that along with that there is increased racial tension and conflict.

Thankfully in this country, unlike in certain parts of America, the racial intolerance is not so great that we have any prominent black/white power groups or even people, of either race, who still campaign for the segregation of black and white people within the country.

The only group that poses a threat based on racial intolerance is the BNP who, lets be honest, are never gonna pose any real danger in terms of controlling this country politically because if they did somehow get into power, not only would they lose around 8 million "non-white British" from the population, which would be damaging enough to the economy, but then people like myself and millions of other normal, sensible and decent honest people would also fuck off out of here...this country would economically collapse through a depleted workforce, Billions upon Billions of pounds in Income Tax would be lost and have to be made up by the remaining few. The "truly British" would then end up paying 85% income tax in order just to try and help the UK break even, housing prices would plummet but without any immigration policy they'll never get occupied, the health service would collapse as the hospitals lose a vast % of it's work force from the Brain surgeons all the way down to the cleaners would need replacing. This would also apply to every other shitty badly paid job that are mainly carried out by immigrants such as McDonalds, Toilet cleaner, taxi driver, rubbish collector and kitchen porter...not forgetting also that due to the loss of the immigrant workforce these cunty little jobs would consequently offer an even lower wage than that of an immigrant. Add to that the UK's declining Birth rate (which is very low but would be even lower without the immigrants). Within less than 12 months the BNP would have reduced this country to a 3rd world nation and if that everr happens i'll happily fly over and piss on all of them as they starve to death...capiche?

But even though racism isn't as big or destructive over here as it is in other countries, such as the USA, Russia, Poland, Croatia or even France, the fact is that racism does all to often raise it's ugle head and when it does the people of this country just crumble and burst into tears quicker than a menapausle woman, on the HRT, during a heavy period having eaten 2kg of chocolate whilst watching the film Beaches...we simply don;t know how to react to a racist incident and be rational about the whole affair...here's why that happens.

First off lets put a few standard old skool myths and beliefs about racism and bigotry to bed once and for all...

1: Just because you could get away with saying certain words in the 1970's doesn't mean you can nowadays. Old fuckers would have you believe that "30 years ago you could say the word 'Nigger' and no-one cared about it...it's cos of the PC brigade"...No it's not, pay attention; 30 years ago the word 'Nigger' was just as offensive to black people as it is nowadays and the reason you think it was ok and no-one cared is because  a) Black people were such a smaller and more vulnerable minority that they opted not to tell you,and..    b) You're an stupid fucking moron who's ignorance made them think that people like being called names and bullied...D'you get it?

2) There are not alot more ethnic minorities now then there used to be...it's actually because there are a lot less of YOU! Maybe there wouldn't be this "terrifying" amount of immigrants or minorities if you lot had a) done a bit more fucking and reproducing and b) not lost several million of the UK population by having a World War and then a sequel 2 decades later on...we had gaps to fill after WW2 and we needed them filled asap.

3) This country is not over crowded...I'm sick of people saying this transparently untrue statement. Let's remove London, which should be crowded just like all the other major capital cities around the globe, and try to name me another area of GB that qualifies as "over-crowded"...take your time...have a good think...Found one?...No!...so shut the fuck up about this country being over crowded. The real issue is that only 9% of this countries surface has been either built upon or populated by human beings in anyway...91% of the country has got fuck all on it!!! Build some houses and flats for us to live in rather than moan that we're "packed out" over here, we simply are not!

4) There is no such thing as "The PC brigade" so stop blaming them for all your problems. the word "brigade" creates this illusion that there is actually a "collective group" which creeps around like a conspiring underground force (much like The Illuminati or The Knights Templar) and is hell bent on stopping any of us having fun. I'll admit that certain aspects of our lives have been negatively affected by Political Correctness i.e. Health and safety laws. But don't believe for one minute that Political correctness and the "pc brigade" has ruined the world...

Why are the BNP unable to decietfully pass themselves off as a legitimate Political party that isn;t racist, homophobic or ran by holocaust deniers? Because of Political Correctness, in a totally un-pc world the BNP would be able to convince the public that they weren't what we all know they are. 

Why are Gay people now allowed to get married? Because that is PC, it makes the world fairer and more equal. In the so called "good old days" before everything was ruined by PC anyone who was found to be a homosexual was breaking the law and sent to prison as punishment...we used to punish men who enjoyed having gay bum sex by sending them TO PRISON! We honestly thought that making them shower together would straighten them all out...The reason all that stopped is becaused we realised that it wasn't Politically Correct to treat people in such a vile way.

This hatred of "being PC" is pathetic. Just compare today with your so called "the good old days"...

1) We are economically stronger today

2) We are healthier today

3) We have better schools today

4) we have more TV channel choices today

5) We have an uncensored internet.

6) racial, sexual, gender and anti-semetic hatred/violence is lower today

7) Younger people have more freedom and liberty today

8) The media is much more diverse and comprehensive today

9) Food, drink, clothes, tv's, computers and every single, essential and luxury are in plentiful supply today.

10) Access to all classes of illegal drugs is at it's highest point ever Today

...I could go on but lets just accept that Today is better than your day...I bet that if you woke up tomorrow and were physically 30 years younger than you are now, all of a sudden you'd fucking love "Today" over "your day"...if you coulod get endless erections again, if you were able to pull younger women that didn't have to tuck thier tits into thier trousers when they went out and if you had enough hair on your head that warranted more than 90 seconds combing MAX...i think you'd see my point!

Now let's move on to the real problem here. If racism born out of ignorance wasn;t bad enough, now we have something even more unacceptable...anti-racism born out of ignorance...I'll explain.

Why do some people, when explaining an incident that lead to some form of verbal racial abuse, tell you everything that was said by both parties and then all of a sudden start abbreviating words for no apparent reason? As you might have guessed i'm talking about people who choose to say...

"Then he called him an N-Word"

...when i first heard that phrase it was from my sister. She said it and carried on talking, assuming i knew what "N-word" meant when in fact that was my first encounter with it...

"Sorry can you go back for a second?" I asked her "What did he call him?"

"You know?...an N-word" replying normally until the end of the sentence which she pronounced as if she were mimicking a deaf person "N-word"...She stared at me like i was retarded...one big frustrating sigh and she tried one more time...

"N-word" and just to make sure she made circular motions around her face and tugged on her cheeks in an attempt to emphasise the skin...I suddenly twigged what she meant and, as a reflex, said it in it's full and traditional way..."OH YOU MEAN NIGGER!"...

She fucking freaked out when i said that...it was like i'd just told her that her baby had died, she was hysterical...

"DON'T SAY THAT RICHARD!!!" she exclaimed whilst looking over her shoulders in a bout of crack head style paranoia "YOU CAN'T SAY THAT!"

"What? Nigger?" Off she went round 2..

"STOP SAYING THAT HORRIBLE WORD IT'S OFFENSIVE AND IT HURTS PEOPLES FEELINGS" She explained to me like i was a 7 year old being chastised by a female police officer for nicking pic'n'mix in Woolworths. "YOU'LL UPSET PEOPLE WITH THAT WORD"

I looked arouns and then stared at her with total bewiderment but then confidently explained to her...

"CATHERINE, WE'RE THE ONLY 2 PEOPLE HERE...THIS IS MY FRONT ROOM FOR FUCKS SAKE...NO ONE ELSE CAN HEAR US...IF WE WERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BRONX, HOLDING A BURNING CROSS AS THE MILLION MAN MARCH WALKED PAST THEN I'D UNDERSTAND YOUR DISCOMFORT...CHILL OUT YOU MAD BITCH!!!"

After the conversation i had with my sister, and the discovery of this new expression "The N-word", I felt a real level of despair for the human race.

We in this country have a sense of elevated smugness when it comes to being "down to earth", "sensible" and "reasonable".

We pompously mock other cultures and nations for their apparent cack handedness when it comes to dealing with major issues.

A good example would be the way we sneer at the Americans for the proceeding events which were the reactions to 9/11, which to be fair was a little extreme and badly planned, but was it any different to the way that we in this country have, for over 10 years now, been obsessed with the death of Princess Diana?

We are still yet to drop this disdain we have for the French, which goes back to WW2 and our belief that they "bottled it". This attitude was adopted by the Americans when France refused to get involved in Iraq (what a bunch of wallies that made the french look eh?) This lead to certain right-wing nutjobs in the US media calling for a boycott of anything french as a way to damage thier economy...well, when they say boycott they just meant renaming anything with the words "french" or "france" in it with the word "freedom" which is why Mcdonalds now sells "freedeom fries" (which displays thier ignorance slightly as "french fries" were actua;;y invented in Belguim...but we can't really expect the US to be up on geography can we?) to be fair though this isn't the first time the yanks have done this, believe it or not in WW2 and several years after Sauer Kraut was renamed "Freedom Cabbage"...i know...i know.

The point i'm trying to make is that we in the west, particularly the UK and USA, have this unhealthy and silly obsession with words. We see words as the problem and believe that changing them is enough to make the problem go away...and that's a very dangerous belief to have.

This is why i have a particular hatred of the expression "N-word" and the people who say it, it's a classic example of how people run away from thier problems and don't have the courage to face up to the real issue.

Isn't it sad that we, the sensible reasonable down-to-earth people of GB, tried to come with a way to combat racism within society and the best we could come up with was...Grammar!...YES! That'll work won't it, that'll have the BNP running for the hills and taking cover...If we'd thought of this in 1939 then we wouldn't have needed the Yanks help in 1941 (not that we did anyway ok? so shut up).

I'm not suggesting that we run around saying the word Nigger with a sense of relaxed ease, i'd rather no-one ever said it at all. But if your someone who is not a racist and has not a racist bone in thier body, you should have the confidence and the integrity to face up to that which you detest with no fear whatsoever. Saying the word "Nigger" does not make you a racist, it's only a word and words are not the essence of racism, they are not the core of prejudice and bigotry. Racism is an ideaology, a belief, a way of life, it's a political viewpoint which is spawned from a combination of ignorance, anger, frustration, weakness, exploitation and manipulation. You cannot fight ignorance with ignorance and when you say "N-word" you are ignoring the real issue and helping the racists.

I wouldn;t mind if using "N-word" were simply a case of censoring for the sake of "younger ears" much in the same way we say "f-word" when thier are children around. But the sad fact is that people who say "N-word" do so with the belief that that in itself is enough to combat the bigots and the racists. I once asked a woman i knew why she said "N-word" and she said, and this is verbatim, "because i'm just doing my bit"...really?

If you went to the Doctors, having had a check up a few days previously, to get your test results and it was discovered that you had some large malignant tumours on your lungs that were inoperable, would you and your Doctor have the following conversation (i have used fictional names to protect the innocent)...

Dr Paedo: Well Mr Rape we've got some bad news for you.

Mr rape: What is it Dr?

Dr Paedo: There's no easy way to put this. Your lungs are infested with...C-word!

Mr rape: Um...I'm sorry...what?

Dr Paedo: You know...C-word...The big C

Mr rape: ...C-word?...do you mean Can-

Dr Paedo: NO NO NO! Don't say it...For Gids sake!

Mr rape: Don;t say it?...what Can-

Dr Paedo: (fingers in ears) LA LA LA LA LA....(fingers out of ears) If you don't say it then it should just go away...come over here...

They both crouch down and put thier hands over thier eyes and chant...

Both: If I can;t see you then you can't see me, if i can;t see you then you can't see me...

Do you see what i'm getting at? Would that help you get rid of the cancer? Does ignoring the problem make it go away? Or does ignoring the problem only play into it's hands?

There are no "rascist words". The same goes for homophobic, sexist, Xenaphobic and anti-semetic words too. There are only words that are born out of racism, homophobia etc etc but that doesn;t mean they can;t be changed. That's what's been happening in recent times with the word "Gay"...

I bet many of the people who choose to use the phrase "N-word" are also people who've, in describing something that is bad, poor or lame, used the word "Gay" e.g. That song is so gay, the ref gave a penalty how gay is that or Would you stop being gay...and so on and son on. Now there was a recent case where "Gay" was used in this context by Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles. Someone in the studio was playing Moyles some of the new ringtones he had on his mobile phone, I don't know which one he was specifically reffering, and nor does it matter, but upon hearing one of them he responded by saying "That's Gay!". this prompted a flurry of complaints to the BBC who demanded an apology from Moyles...he never apologised...and I say good on him cos he doesn't have to and here's why. Homosexuals need to realise that they don't have the monopoly on any words or expression, there is no set of adjectives or nouns or any colloquialism that exists now or ever, language is for everyone and can mean anything that the individual wants it to...and "Gay" people should keep in mind that 60+ years ago a "gay" person was simply someone who had a jolly disposition and a bubbly persona...how do you think chirpy old Mr X felt when, all of a sudden sometime in the 1950's, being "Gay" became an adjective for a lifestyle which he had no real interest in or affiliation with at all? I think he might have been a little unhappy or "non-gay" about it...ok?

This is why gangsta rappers use the word "nigger" so frequently in thier songs when reffering to people whom they are good friends with, they are turning it into a word that carries positive and self-empowering qualitites, the word becomes so familiar to them that, as a result, the racists can't use it to hurt and abuse anymore. The same way a bullied child might learn how to put themselves down and be self-depricating before the bully gets a chance to do it...it works and i should know because it's what I did when I was picked on at school.

If we really cared about stopping racism and prejudice we could do so very easily and what's more it can be dealt with using no violence whatsoever...don't fear the words anymore, they are not the problem...instead  lets embrace these words and start attacking the real cause of irrational hatred: Ignorance.

This applies to black people too. If I was black (which i'm not...at least not yet anyway) whilst I can see the sentiment and intention of those people who say "N-word", I would feel ever so slightly patronised...I'd wonder why this "grammatically right-on alteration" was reserved solely for "Nigger", why not "Paki", "Chink", "Slope" or "Wog"? These words are as equally vile as "nigger" and yet they have not been treated with the same level of delicacy...Is that because the other races are not as important? or because they feel black people are less capable of reacting to a racist word without using a gun or a knife?

If your still not convinced and you genuinely believe that saying "N-word" instead of "Nigger" makes a difference in the world and is helping bring down racism, think about this...

When you say "N-word" in a conversation the person you're talking to knows exactly what you mean by it. As soon as you say "N-word" they think "Nigger"...it doesn't cover it up at all, if anything it makes the word even more obvious than before...If during a conversation I said to you...

..."Last night i met this girl, I took her back to my place where i L'd out her P, she S'd my big hard C, so i F'd her right in the A and she let me shoot  my J all over her lovely T's!"....

I very much doubt that you would have any doubt in your mind or feel that there was even the slightest element of what you'd call "grey area" about the words I had "kindly edited" out of this sentance or the incidents I was describing within it...so what's the point in doing it in the first place?

If reducing something down to it's initials and then using them to replace the whole words had any positive effect, if it made any significant or slight difference whatsoever...

Why do people still have HIV and AIDS, Hep C. Catch an STD like VD cos you got some XXX, SnM with some T'n'A wearing PVC, tits DD, rubbing in KY, you get a BJ is it A-OK?
