The Shame of being Proud

In recent weeks i have been pondering the nature of "pride" and more specifically people who feel "proud". This Blog is being written on the same night which i changed the theme of my page to "The Best of British" and put up many video's which displayed us British at our very best and most brilliant. I did this, not because i had a sudden surge of nationalism run through my veins and felt i had to show people that we Brits were good at something once, but because I have grown up here all my life, I have been educated here, I have learnt here, I have lived and almost died here, everything important in my life happened here in Britain...but not because of Britain itself, i just happened to be here when they occured...i have never said that i felt pride because i came from this country...I had no choice in being here in Britain...it's all luck and chance...it's for this reason I ask the question, "What are you Proud of exactly?"...

Every april 23rd n this country it's St Georges day, which is the day when we the English celebrate and toast St George...a man who killed a dragon, apparently. However, Now it's traditional ,on St georges day to, instead of having a drink and pay homage to a bloke who alledgedly killed an animal that doesn't exist, we walk around and fucking moan about the fact that we are , apparently, not allowed to celebrate this day in the first place.......right, one thing at a time.

Why do we the English force this horrific guilt on to ourselves when it comes to our national day? at what point did we feel that being English and having a party on St G's day was somehow an admission that you think "all jews and blacks should be killed"? There is NO law which prohibits celebrations on this day and anyone who says otherwise is lying, neither is it wrong or facist to have an English flag on your house or near your person....it's actually been done in other countries for centuries and they don't seem to care....so why us? It's simple really...In the past every group of facist, neo-nazi, right-wing, racist, antisemitic, bigotted, homophobic, genocidal bum-lovers of hitler have adopted the StG flag as it's symbol...in fact i doubt that the swastika was as overused by facists as the Flag of England has been since WW2...The George cross makes people think "racists"...you can't help it, if you saw a bloke in a Pink PVC cat-suit you'd think "GayLord"...it's just a reflex. The only way to stop that continuing is to take the Flag off of the racists. In the 1960's black people in America began calling themselves "niggers" in a friendly and light-hearted way, this devalued the word and made it less potent as a weapon of hate...the good people need to take the Flag back, if everyone waved it then the racists would not feel as individually unique and proud as they do...it would demean them.

Secondly, Why do you give a fuck about our patron St? what is so special about this day? was it decreed by God that 23rd April is the most English day on Earth? No! In fact if you do research about St George you'll discover that not only was St George NOT white OR christian...he weren't even FUCKING ENGLISH....He couldn't have been further from all 3, he was the polar opposite, he was a BROWN! MUSLIM!.....TURK!....Oh yes, what do you think of that then my friends? how do you feel about that exactly? I love that fact, it makes me smile everytime i see a group of facists from England marching down the street, waving the flag of a brown-skinned-islamic-turkish bloke...isn't irony the best thing in the world. The point is why do you care? why do you need to celebrate this day? you don't really, it's just that we get so carried away with St Patricks day in this country that we feel left out..."No-one in Ireland Celebrates St Georges day"...CAN YOU BLAME THEM?...It would be a brave sould in Ireland who suggested they have a St Georges day party in the middle of Belfast town centre...the same logic applies to Glasgow and Cardiff too. The reason we don't get carried away with St georges day is because in England we are a bit more civilised...we don't need to get all excited about being English anymore because we don't have centuries of persecution behind us, we just have centuries of injustice and imperialism....not much to be proud of is it?

Thirdly, and most importantly though, What is it that makes you Proud to be British?...in fact why is anyone proud of thier nationality?...USA, France, Canada, Venzuela, Norway...why feel pride?...what did you have to do with it?...what say did you have?....what adversity did you overcome in order to become your nationality?.....

For me "pride" is a good thing, but it's something which should be used sparingly and in appropriate situations. If you have achieved something which makes you stand out from the norm, if you reach a level of excellence in your field, if you surpass all expectations and odds to reach your goals...then you have a right to be proud, you have earned your pride....so where does your nationality come into play there? Ask yourself why you are proud of the word on your passport next to "Nationality"...did you earn the right to be British? No. Did you pass a test and excell to such a level that Britishness was bestowed on you? No. Were you going to be born in France but somehow you managed to kick your mothers stomach from within the womb and, using morse code, tell her that she had to go to Britain immediatley, where she arrived in time for you to plop out? No...so basically, you are proud of something that you had no control over and couldn't stop happening...WOW...aren't you fucking clever? would you be proud of the tides? No, would you be proud that your heart keeps beating? No. would you feel a strong sensation of pride everytime the sun came up and went down? No...well those things are just as out of your hands as your country of origin, so why treat it differently?

The worst people at being patriotic are the Yanks first and the Brits come in second but the Yanks are infont by an intergalactic Margin...they are great at being "Bad patriots"...Oscar Wilde said "Patriotism is the Virtue ofr the vicious" and i think the USA is proof that he is spot on. Only 8% own a passport...still to many in my view but it's quite low anyway. They have the highest levels of Obeseity in the worlds, they have one of the worst poverty records in the 1st world, they have the highest frigures for attending church in the 1st world, they have a Law which states it is illegal to in anyway destroy a US flag...it's a piece of cloth for fucks sake. I also find it funny that they have major racial issues within thier society and constant immigration reforms...and yet it was only a couple of hundred years ago that they were founded by the invading "Puritans", a group of religious nutters who took over the land, killed loads of Indians and then bought slaves from Africa....you think they'd be a bit more open to people coming to thier country?

The same is true of the Brits, I read a headline on the cover of the Daily Express very recently which read "Immigrants are ruining the British way of Life"............I'll let that set in........What is this "British" way of life? Would that be the one we have had for thousands of years and has never been disturbed or in anyway comprimised....even when the Vikings came over?...or the Angles?...not even by the Saxons?...don't mention the Normans....and forget the Romans too...and the Irish....In fact take it as read that if it wasn't for "immigrants" coming over here then YOU would not be here now! Once you have become a member of our society and you are a legal Immigrant then you are British...end of discussion. In fact these people are sometimees MORE British than the people who are born here...I can't imagine any Brit whom I have met in my life who would have the guts and determination to risk your life by gaffa taping yourself to the underside of the eurostar train and come and work over here for next-to-fuck-all...because we blew your house up!...If you think this country is going downhill then kindly fuck off to one of the countries these immigrants come from and see how you cope...you'll be in tears by teatime.

In fact I can't see why pride has any place in the mind of a person when it comes to the superficial qualities of a human, skin colour, sex and sexuality....why do you have to be proud of these things in order to accept yourself?...There is nothing about "what" you are which you should be proud of, you were not involved in becoming "what" you are and you can't change "what" you are. What matters is "who" you are...Good? bad? Brave? coward? Genius? daft?...these are the things that matter when you start feeling pride or shame....

If you are proud of your skin colour then STOP!...it's pointless, it's irrelevent and no-one with half a brain gives a fuck what colour you are. If your white and proud then you need to ask yourself why you are white...i think, and it's only my opinion, it may be becasue your Mother and Father were also of the Honky Cracker assed cracker variety?...I mean it's not exactly as if you were not expected to come out a lighter shade of pale was it? if your Mother was Chinese and your Dad Pakistani and you still came out white THEN and only then can you feel that maybe you are special and unique...ok? but until that happens please stop getting excited about the fact you have skin that has no colour, is useless in all extremes of weather and has not lead to you being exploited or devalued in anyway by the world around you...in short "Grow up". If your the reverse and your'e Black and Proud then i'm even more confused. It's tough being black in a white dominated world, if your black then you have to try harder and work harder and you still might not get anywhere near the level of success as the white guy who never lifted a finger...in short you are proud of something that has held you back and made your life needlessly difficult, something that means you are subjected to constant abuse and relentless hatred from the ignorant and powerful white people who see you as skin and nothing more...why be proud of that? why be proud of the fact that you are abuse becasue of something you can't help? By all means be proud of yourself if you achieve a high and unexpected level of success despite the fact that you are black, but don't just be proud of being black itself, it didn't help you succeed it hindered you, it made life tough...it made you struggle when you shouldn't have needed to. Black or White, dark or light...stop making people focus on your skin by going on about it...if racism is ever goning to be prevented then the first step is to NOT care about it...Look at it this way, If you're proud of your skin colour; you are Proud of the fact that your Dad fucked your Mum and came inside her vagina...is that an image you want to be reminded of?

Pride in gender is equally stupid. Male pride or masculinism is such a shit idea, if you are a man you have no need to be proud of yourself purely on that basis alone...why? cos you have the ultimate weapon in getting on i life...A Penis!..it's the backstage pass to a world where nothing requires any effort...you got the 4 aces dealt to you and now you want to be proud?.....Fuck Off you idiots..Men have it so easy it makes me vomit with embarassment, we have it so easy that somehow, despite being immature, very illogical and inable to multi-task, we own 99.9% of everything in the world...no man has ever worked that hard. As for you women...what the fuck are you getting all full of yourselves for? what exactly are you proud of? The fact is ladies, and you won't like me saying this but, if you had the chance to switch sides then you'd jump ship and become a man instantly with no second thought at all...yes you would. The only reason you are a woman is because, when God was sorting out the genitals, you showed up too late and by the time you got to the front ALL the cocks were gone and you had no choice....this is the reason that women all seem to lose thier minds whenever they here that New Look has a Sale on...as a woman you naturally understand the pain of missing out on a bargin so you can't do it again.

There is no such thing as Heterosexual pride, it don't exist and never will, there's no point in it. Straights are not picked on, Mocked or Ridiculed in anyway and we are so dominant in terms of numbers (90%) that we have no reason to organise a parade. However, you do still hear some uptight homophobic twat get all defensive about gay pride marches e.g. "If we (straight people) organised a march or parade we wouldn't be allowed...we'd be banned"....No you wouldn't be banned you idiot, hetero's can have a pride march if they want one, all we have to do is organise it, contact everyone and make sure it is conducted within a good spirit and within the law...So go and do it then!...you won't though, and there are several reasons for it. The reason some dickheads hate gay pride marches are because of the fact that a hetero can go to a gay pride march and at some point he will see the most beautiful woman he has ever seen in his life, an image of perfection, an angel on this earth & a 6 foot 5 adam's apple owning geezer called Gary...That is what fucks off some of the straights, it's incredible standards of the modern day Tranny...they are better looking than any real woman you have ever seen...and remember that "real" women are made by GOD...so humans are now making better looking women out of men than God is doing from scratch...that is annoying and impressive at the same time. The other reason some straights hate Gay pride marches, is due to the fact that women...straight women...join in and have the best time of thier lives, and a straight man will look at his girlfriend/wife/love interest and see them enjoying themselves and being more uninhibited and feeling freer than they ever have done with him...he will see what she acts like and what she looks like and how happy she is when the protective guard is down, the guard that is there because of the predatory nature of men, straight men make women feel uncomfortable in a way that Gay men don't, women are happier round Gay men than they are with straight men...and that is what fucks these straight guys off...they feel inadequate. It is also the reason that there are no straight pride marches... becasue we all know atv the end of the day, if there was a nationwide Straight Pride march organised, the date was set, route was planned and the media was informed, we all know that not one single bloody woman would show up to it...not a single female would bother to go along, Why?...would you allow your missus/wife/daughter/sister/mother to go out into the town knowing that it's filled with over 1 million straight blokes all marching down the road? would you want any women who mean anything special to you to wind up stuck in the middle of a testosterone fuelled Man-train? and if some woman did venture out into that world of the unknown then i think having 1 million voices in unison shouting "Get your tits out for the lads" would have her retreating...or on the end of a Million man bukakke...ew! That's the great thing about Gay Pride above all the other forms of pride...it's nothing to do with being gay...Gay marches include everyone and it's not about being gay yourself, it's about celebrating the diverse and interesting world we live in, it's about acknowledging that different sexualities are things to be open about and to express yourself, Gay pride is all about the rejoicing in our own sense of acceptance...we revel in the fact that we no longer hate people for being a certain way.

If the world had the same attitude of the Gay Pride Marches then we would have no problems with bigotry...we would have Diversity Pride Marches which included everyone and anyone...The fact is this, if you take pride in "what" you are then it's becasue you don't know "Who" you are...your ignorance of your own personality has led you to seek a sense of achievement in things which have no importance or significance at all, they don't make you and they don't define you, nothing important lies in "What" you are...If you want to continue this attitude of "Pride in The Pointless" then why not do it with everything? why not do it with every superficial aspect of yourself which you had no control over...I might be able to accept this concept if it was inclusive of all human qualities which we don't control...Imagine a Pride march which had thousands of men of all shapes, sizes, colours and creeds all chanting "We got tiny dicks, We Got tiny dicks" or varieties of women shouting "Really saggy tits, really saggy tits"...then I think we can start to move forward and evolve...

Pride is for those who believe, not those who under-achieve.
